Project Components

The plaza is conceived as the only true urban gathering place for the City of San Rafael, county seat of Marin. Inspired by town plazas found throughout Europe, the plaza features a dramatic 50 foot long curved waterwall as a backdrop. Situated to provide a true focus for the revitalized city center, the plaza has gained widespread praise from both city officials and the public for its versatility of uses and its timeless spatial character.
